Our History
Our Beginnings
Advanced Audio & Lighting Systems was established in 1992. The founders were Graeme Brown (President), and Trent Keeling (Former V.P.). Both were local audio and music enthusiasts, who had a finger on the Audio/Video world, and technology. Growing up working gigs, and shows, performing in bands, it was the only next natural step, forming a business. So, Advanced Audio & Lighting Systems was born!
The Goal?
We wanted to put our passion to use, and bring a unique element to the Central Illinois market. At the start, we focused on running productions and taking on clients for integration. As technology started to change the public and private sectors though, we adapted. This leading to today, our goal?

We wanted to work as both in System Designs & Live Event Productions. To us, this felt the most natural and best solution. Both worlds crossing, and bringing new, inventive solutions to each other. Which is why we still do both to this day!
From Band to Business
One thing we love most about where we've come from is the journey. We were just Audio/Video enthusiasts but turned that passion into the wide client base we have today. We are thrilled to work with Fortune 50 & 500 Companies, plus help produce national live events in our area.
The New Look!
In 2022 we updated our logos and branding. We took our two sides of the company (System Designs & Live Event Productions) splitting them into two different logos!
But you might still might see our retro logo around here and there
The Future...
