It played in Peoria (Nov 9th, 2024)! - Earth, Wind and Fire held a concert at the Peoria Civic Center in part with a joint event and banquet dinner. The Concert after show featured the band, which origins come from Chicago, IL and was formed in 1969 according to Wikipedia. As part of a joint effort with the client and Peoria Civic Center we were hired to provide Audio, Video and Lighting production support and setup.

The stage for the after party concert was set in the Peoria Civic Center's Exhibit Hall C's area. The venue space allowed for sit down tables, cocktail tables and a gobo-lit dance floor for those wanting to put on some dancing shoes. Patrons of the event were able to get right up to the stage, offering a truly unique and personalized experience with the band on stage.

Production Highlights

Being apart and assisting the band and the Peoria Civic Center is always a joy for us, and we were able to debut and provide support for some of the elements required to put this size concert together. The production audio was delivered via an L'Acoustics PA System, and delivering a punch and performance you felt on the dance floor. Lighting was supported via hanging truss systems, which featured some of our chain motors, and all lighting scenes were designed by the band's crew. Haze and Fog machines were added to give that rock'n roll styling, adding just a little flare to the room and performance by the band.

LED WatchFire Wall

Though we were thrilled to help and provide support for some of the elements, our most excited add-on was a custom 10x6 Panel WatchFire LED Wall, which is just one of the walls currently in our Rental Department. This wall was flown behind the stage on motors and trussing to complete the stage set. The band crew was able to present a wide variety of picture formats, video and animated backgrounds giving a truly large scale look in the venue spacing.

As it was not the first time our LED Wall had been seen by an audience, it was the first debut of it at a local concert event. The addition of our WatchFire wall, which can be configured in multiple formats and screen numbers to a venue is now one of our best additions to our rental house here at Advance Audio & Lighting Systems.

In Closing

Working alongside the Peoria Civic Center and the Client for this event was a great experience like always, and helping assist a Illinois founded band like Earth, Wind and Fire which originated in Chicago, IL with such a long history is truly an experience we were grateful to be apart of.
